DEXICON Enterprise 3.0, the new version of our certified subsystem for my SAP HCM and PP, for the first time integrates video monitoring with DEXICON access control. This solution turns anonymous alarm messages in the access control system into clear and documented events. If unauthorized access is attempted, the system automatically records images before and after the attempt and forwards them to a central entity. False alarms or wrongly interpreted screen messages can be reliably avoided. Conclusive images are archived for later analysis.

DEXICON Enterprise 3.0 supports the Convision product family which allows the connection of up to 16 cameras to a video server, with up to four cameras available for image archiving in DEXICON. Image processing and forwarding is handled by TCP/IP, while the integration of the video images into the DEXICON access solution is managed by the INTUS COM video interface. It stores alarm sequences received from the video server for further processing in the access control system. Configuration of the video server is conveniently performed via a standard browser.

New in our range are Convision Hybrid video servers which allow for the first time to deploy cost-effective analogue video cameras in parallel to digital IP cameras. IP cameras feature a high contrast range which has advantages under backlight conditions. However, they usually only offer a digital software zoom with a factor equivalent to 2.5 and work with CMOS technology which makes them of limited use at night. Analogue cameras with an optical zoom are therefore preferably used in critical situations like that. CC-5451 IR is a new analogue video camera which offers excellents image quality at a reasonable price. It features 10 x optical zoom plus 8 x digital zoom and 33 IR LED's for a viewable range of up to 50 meters at night.

Of course, PCS offers this solution not onlay for SAP integration, but also for general video monitoring requirements.
