Scalable industrial PC INTUS 6700

At this year CeBIT 2006, PCS has presented innovative products and solutions such as the new PDC-terminal INTUS 3600 with data encryption, a fingerprint reading module for offline time & attendance and an automatic Iris recognition system.

All data collected: production data with security, working hours with finger print, eye characteristics with automatic camera.

At this year CeBIT in Hannover, PCS and six software partners presented innovative solutions in the field of access control, time & attendance and production data collection.

For the first time, PCS has introduced the brand-new PDC terminal INTUS 3600. As a second new product, the time & attendance terminal INTUS 3100 with integrated fingerprint reader has been shown. And as premiere number three, the new Iris recognition system has been exposed. Also exhibited on the CeBIT: INTUS 6700, the scalable industrial PC and the software INTUS COM Mobile.

Encrypted production data collection with firewall

The brand-new production data collection terminal INTUS 3600 is equipped with a complete security package. The collected data will be encrypted transfered from the reader to the terminals and the same on its way to the host. A three-tier hierarchical password concept guarantees the confidence of the collected data. An integrated firewall completes the security package.

Fingerprint for online and offline time & attendance

The time & attendance terminal INTUS 3100 is available with a new fingerprint reading module for offline time & attendance. The so-called templates  - which are compared with the collected fingerprint - are stored in the terminal it-self. The INTUS 3100 is available for verification as well as for identification for up to 4.000 fingerprints.

Scalable industrial PC with graphic accelerator

Scalability and user-friendliness are main features of the INTUS 6700. The processor of the INTUS 6700 is for choice: from Celeron M processor with 733 MHz up to Pentium M with 1,6 GHz. Without external fan and with resistive touch screen, the iNTUS 6700 is well-suited for rough industrial environment. All important reader types can be integrated, such as RFID or contact chip.

Iris recognition - the camera follows the eye

The new iris recognition system first focuses the face with wide-angle lens and the focuses the eyes. Another lens with higher focal width creates the iris photo of the eye. This fully automatic process offers the user a maximum of comfort and highest security.
