Convision hybrid video server for analog and network cameras. :: 2007-10-02 15:28

Convision V410 hybrid video server records images from analog and network cameras simultaneously.

PCS now offers a hybrid video server for clients who wish to supplement their existing analog monitoring cameras with new network cameras. Up to four analog and/or IP network cameras can be connected to the Convision V410 hybrid server. Images from both camera types are simultaneously recorded to the server’s hard disk. This offers maximum flexibility in the selection of the cameras best suited for the customer’s requirements. In addition to lower costs per video channel, there are also enormous advantages in terms of night vision capability and the connection of controllable cameras. Investments in analog CCTV cameras are protected, while the best camera for each specific application can be selected.

The Convision V410 hybrid video server can be fully controlled via a web browser. There is no need to install or configure additional software to operate the devices. The server provides a video output, lossless motion detection on each channel and a FireWire port (IEEE 1394) for external hard disks. In addition, the hybrid server’s high resolution mode (704x568 pixels) makes it possible to take full advantage of high-quality analog cameras. And of course all the camera images can be displayed live in Internet Explorer.

The Convision hybrid server allows the connection of all analog cameras and of AXIS IP cameras. Support for other IP cameras can be swiftly implemented on a project basis with only moderate effort. ConvisionSafe evaluation software is provided free with all Convision devices. ConvisonSafe uses a graphical interface and allows easy navigation to recorded events.
