When developing the new 3.4 version of its DEXICON software solution, Munich based PCS specifically focused on new functionalities for emergency situations. Emergency lists, attendance overviews and the significantly improved integration of video surveillance in the event of an alarm are among the most important new features now offered by DEXICON in addition to its OPC interface.

DEXICON is PCS’s certified turnkey subsystem connecting INTUS terminals to the SAP ERP modules HCM (HR) and Operations (Production Planning – PP). PCS has more than 15 years of SAP expertise in the particularly time-efficient implementation of SAP projects.

Emergency list of persons present in access areas.
The new emergency list promptly alerts the Security personnel to persons still present in a tracking area. All the persons at risk in specific access zones can be quickly listed even in hectic emergency situations – an importing tool for optimizing evacuation plans.

Graphical attendance overview.
Not restricted to emergency situations, the graphical attendance overview immediately answers the question whether employees are currently present or absent. Several views can be defined, e.g. one for the development department and another for production, which significantly speeds up searches in large corporations. Of course, only authorized personnel have access to attendance overviews.

Video documentation for hazard zones.
Additional video surveillance for particularly vulnerable doors is becoming increasingly popular. In the event of an alarm, the new video documentation system stores up to 99 images before and after an alarm was triggered. The number of images recorded and the time recording starts are user-definable via video profiles. DEXICON automatically retrieves recorded images from the video servers via http for archiving.

OPC interface integrates DEXICON with higher-level systems.
Available as an add-on module for DEXICON Enterprise and DEXICON Access, the new DEXICON OPC Server integrates the INTUS access control system with a higher-level control center, building management, or security system. It provides status information such as “door state”, “door release state” or “terminal/reader connection state” for retrieval by the higher-level system. In the opposite direction, the INTUS access control system receives control statements from the higher-level system to release a door once or permanently.
