| | New H.264 network camera family delivers superior image quality with minimum bandwidth use
The new H.264 network cameras of the CONVISION family now available from PCS Systemtechnik deliver superior image quality with minimum bandwidth use. Each of the four new CONVISION H.264 network cameras offers top-quality state-of-the-art technology with an integrated network interface. The H.264 compression method supports 25 images per second at a resolution of 720x576 pixels (PAL). The transfer rate of 4 Mbit/s offers the best bandwidth/image quality ratio currently available in the market. The H.264 codec (also known as MPEG4-AVC) is approx. 40% more efficient than a MPEG4 codec, takes a significant burden off the network and allows a correspondingly longer duration of recording to the servers’ hard discs.
The family of H.264 network cameras consists of four models: - CC-331-H264, a speed-dome camera with 30x optical zoom for day-time and night-time use; - CC-5400-H264, a speed-dome camera with 10x optical zoom for day-time/night-time use (both models come in a weatherproof exterior housing); - CC-5306-H264, a fixed-dome camera in a tamper-proof housing with night-vision capability (40 ft/12 m), high resolution and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) function for backlighting conditions, - CC-5355IR-H264, an allround camera in a weatherproof housing with a night-vision range of 82 ft/25 m, very high resolution and WDR function.
All the CONVISION H.264 cameras provide full-duplex audio transmission. Power for the CC-331 and CC-5308 models can be supplied via Ethernet to facilitate installation (Power over Ethernet).
The included CONVISION Cymanager software offers an intuitive management interface which is so clear and uncomplicated that it will not overtax the user. The CONVISION Cymanager is capable of displaying and recording the images from up to 16 H.264 network cameras simultaneously.
