PCS's certified subsystem DEXICON for SAP ERP now deployed acress borders with SEW-EURODRIVE

SEW-EURODRIVE has been relying on PCS’s subsystem solution DEXICON for SAP R/3 and SAP ERP for many years. More than 200 terminals and readers from PCS have been deployed since 1993. For historical reasons, SEW-EURODRIVE used two separately managed systems until last summer: DEXICON ACCESS in Bruchsal, Germany, and DEXICON Classic in Haguenau, France. The globally oriented company required internationally available IT structures that had to be as lean as possible. It was therefore decided in August 2007 to implement a centralized international subsystem solution for time/attendance recording and access control in parallel to the SAP system in Bruchsal. The transition to SAP ERP 6.0 was successfully performed in September 2007. Only a few days later, the DEXICON installations in Germany and France were consolidated, the subsystem was migrated to the latest  DEXICON Enterprise release (3.1), and the company license was upgraded to 10,000 master records.

These measures have enabled SEW-EURODRIVE to centrally manage and globally use its time/attendance recording and access control functionalities. Time/attendance bookings across sites and the flexible, unrestricted use of access control across national boundaries point the way and – through the DEXICON Enterprise subsystem – offer the added value a globally operating market leader expects.

SEW-EURODRIVE is movement, tradition, innovation, quality, and service all in one. SEW not only moves countless conveyer belts, bottling plants, sports stadium roofs, gravel plants, assembly lines, processes in the chemical industry, your luggage at the airport, or even you on escalators; no, SEW is also moving itself – there is no such thing as standstill. Every day, nearly 500 researchers and developers are working on creating the future of drive automation and making it a little better. Collectively, over 12,000 employees around the world are moving to solve their tasks and optimize processes. This is how SEW-EURODRIVE has evolved throughout its history to become the market leader in the industry of drive automation with a turnover of roughly EUR1.5 billion.
