| PCS. Integrated solutions for time & attendance recording and access control ::
2005-03-09 09:20 Time management, which includes time & attendance recording, and safety engineering, which includes access control, are converging. PCS Systemtechnik allows you to combine both applications even today and without any interface problems – with identical networking and cabling, uniform parameterization and programming, a universal identification technology using only one ID card, standardized user interfaces and uniform control of all devices. New: The new INTUS ACM8 access manager in 19'' technology, and the new RFID access readers INTUS 500 and INTUS 400 designed for integration with existing architectures and blending in with various switch product ranges from leading manufacturers. The PCS access control range is further complemented by INTUS 1600FP with biometrics, video monitoring of critical access points and offline terminals that can be integrated with the complete system for individual autonomous access points. For time & attendance recording, there are new variants of the INTUS 3100 with or without integrated power supply, as well as if-Design award winner INTUS 3400 with its MagicEye and customizable keyboard. NEW: INTUS ACM8 Access Control Manager INTUS ACM8, PCS’s new Access Control Manager in 19'' technology, is a further demonstation of our competence in access control. Measuring only 2 HU, the extremely compact device is capable of controlling up to 8 doors, rotating barriers or turnstiles at the same time. Up to 16 access readers may be connected via the optional LBus. ACM8 supports all types of PCS readers, including particularly interesting options such as RFID readers using Mifare, Hitag, Legic, or Miro technology or biometric fingerprint readers. The number of local room and time profiles allows complex applications. With a storage expansion option, up to 79,000 master records and 71,000 bookings can be managed. The connected readers and door openers are energized directly from the ACM8 (12VDC or 24 VDC supply). Cables are installed via a front patch panel with LED status monitoring of all readers and doors. This means that all the interfaces of the ACM8 are accessible on the front, which makes the device ideal for installation in standard 19'' racks. With further features such as alarm interfaces for vandalism, a burglar alarm system interface, Ethernet TCP/IP networking and extremely simple cabling, ACM8 is the perfect security component for decentralized access control. NEW: INTUS 400 Advanced access control should fit in discreetly and inconspicuously with a building’s architecture and interior design. RFID access readers that register company ID cards or chips presented to them are usually installed next to the door frame. That’s the right spot for INTUS 400 as well – PCS’s new identification reader which can be integrated with many switch product ranges from leading manufacturers and gives architects new creative leeway in interior design. PCS access control blends in perfectly with popular switch designs and makes access control an integral part of a building’s installations – much to the contentment of owners, planners and installers. INTUS 400 is available for 30 plus different switch product ranges from eight leading manufacturers including Busch-Jaeger, Berker, Jung, and Gira. INTUS 400 features Mifare or Legic RFID technology, discreet but distinctive LED signaling in three colors (blue, red, green), and an integrated vandalism contact. It can be connected to PCS ACM access managers and PCS terminals via the PCS LBus® over distances of up to 200 m. INTUS 3400 – award winning time & attendance recording terminal with “MagicEye” The INTUS 3400 combines innovative technology and a modern design with extremely compact dimensions. As such, the terminal won the international iF design award 2004 for excellent industrial design. The integrated card reader’s “MagicEye” supports all standard proximity reading methods such as barcode, magnetic card or chipcard. As part of the terminal’s unique ergonomic design, the optical eye allows for swift and secure signaling in passing. The large display provides all additional information for the employee. The PCS matrix touchscreen offers a protected template behind the matrix for customized keyboard layout and labeling which can be changed at a later time or adapted to new situations as required. This advanced feature quickly pays off in the course of a project. It can also be adapted to the customer’s specific CI by using the desired colors and customer logo. INTUS 3400 is also available with a matching lean pedestal ideally suited for your representative areas and lobbies.
