PCS, a leading German manufacturer of data acquisition equipment for time management, access control, video surveillance and production data acquisition, completed another successful fiscal year on 30 June 2010. In spite of the economic crisis, PCS was able to maintain its total sales revenues on the previous year’s level of EUR 10.6 million. New orders were up to approx. EUR 11.3 million, significantly higher than the year before.

The security systems range comprising access readers, access control managers and video surveillance equipment registered above average growth. PCS’s innovative palm vein authentication technology was particularly successful in the market and won a number of security awards. Moreover, PCS was able to upgrade many existing customer installations with new technologies such as the Mifare DESFire EV1 RFID system. PCS also successfully grew its service business, consulting customers on topics ranging from card management to new RFID technologies.

For the new fiscal year which started on 1 July, PCS Chief Executive Walter Elsner is confident to achieve further growth in sales revenues and incoming business. “We started the new fiscal year with a lot of momentum and are clearly experiencing an upswing right now.” That’s the reason why PCS invested in new staff and now has a headcount of 80.
