Under this heading, PCS Systemtechnik GmbH - together with five software and technology partners - will present latest developments in access control with a special focus on high security applications.
INTUS FP – High-speed biometric access control.
With its INTUS FP, PCS is setting new standards for biometric terminals. INTUS FP is a new fingerprint terminal which masters verification as well as identification. The new INTUS FP fingerprint terminal incorporates a capacitive sensor of the latest generation. Its large local memory can store fingerprint data for up to 4,000 persons, thus avoiding the time-consuming reloading of templates.
High-security ID cards with optical encryption.
When it comes to storing biometric data, most users tend to have great reservations about centralized storage and much prefer decentralized storage on personal storage medium. Instead of a conventional semiconductor chip, the innovative PhenoStor card uses a polymeric storage layer with a capacity of several megabytes. This makes it possible to simultaneously store a variety of bioemetric characteristics on the medium. If used as an employee card, cafeteria and parking garage information can be stored in addition to the data required for the access and identification functions. The various data types are stored independently of each other and cannot be mutually read out between the different functions. A centralized write operation is not required. All the data is stored to the medium optically encrypted by holographic techology.
PCS will present the PhenoStor system for the first time as part of an innovation study. It consists of an INTUS 3100 PhenoStor access terminal and a PhenoStor RFID combination card. While the INTUS 3100 PhenoStor terminal verifies the biometric characteristics of a person in a high-security zone, the RFID function of the card allows access to less critical areas.

The INTUS 3450 terminal also provides a complete security package. Using data encryption to the connected identification readers and host as well as a three-tier hierarchical password concept it makes sure that personal employee data will not get into the wrong hands. Its matrix touch keyboard can be easily customized to the customer's design using a keyboard template.
DEXICON for SAP solutions. The subsystem with door terminal integration.
DEXICON for mySAP ERP is a modulare subsystem for attendance recording, order time acquisistion and the secure management of access control under SAP. DEXICON makes it possible to integrate mechatronical stand-alone door/fixture terminals with an online system. Authorizations are co-managed in the online system, with the authorization terminal writing the authorization onto the same card also used for the online system.
