CONVISION video servers Convision video servers are used for local recording of video streams from analog cameras or AXIS network cameras. They also work as encoders transforming video data from analog cameras to the IP network for visualization in a brower or processing by video surveillance software. Video servers are dedicated computers under a real-time operating system. As such, they offer important advantages over a standard PC including extremely fast recovery after loss of mains power, virus immunity, and maximum reliability. In addition to long-term recording, CONVISION video servers also allow event-based recordings such as recordings triggered by motion detection and/or within certain time intervals. This ensures the optimum utilization of server hard disk capacities. Video image data is stored in M-JPEG format for easy evaluation not only by dedicated video surveillance tools, but also simply via a browser or image viewer. The server’s built-in motion histogram function facilitates the detection of movements in long-term recordings – another very important advantage for the user. Using a video server on site makes you independent from the rate of data transfer between various locations. CONVISION recording stations CONVISION recording stations are complete systems for video surveillance and recording in conjunction with CONVISION network cameras. The advantage for you is that you receive a combined hardware and software solution in a PC optimized for video surveillance purposes, so that you can quickly go live. CONVISION recording stations are available in a version supporting up to 16 cameras and in a 19” rack version supporting up to 36 cameras. Each recording station has a hard disk capacity of 1 TB for recording video data in H.264 format. CONVISION recording stations come with a pre-installed easy to use video surveillance software. |
