INTUS 1600PS-II biometric access terminal combines security and convenience.
The biometric access reader is the perfect complement to a standard RFID control system wherever particularly high security requirements are required, such as for the protection of data centres and research departments. The biometric feature of the hand vein pattern is recognised as forgery-proof with a FAR rate of 0.000.08 %. For highest security requirements, a 2-factor authentication against PIN or card is additionally combined. INTUS PS hand vein recognition can be used in many high-security projects because the INTUS PS offers a secure integration option via the OSDP interface and can be connected to access control centres of third-party systems. Thus, INTUS PS hand vein recognition is also suitable as an extension for existing access control projects.
Head of Product Management Daniel Berning on the award:
"One of the goals in introducing biometric solutions is to achieve a high level of user acceptance. We are therefore very pleased about this award from the GIT security readers. Our customers appreciate the high usability of hand vein recognition: secure integration, self-explanatory operation, fast reaction times. This product is present in so many security and high-security projects - precisely because it can also be integrated into existing systems".
New generation even more user-friendly.
With the award-winning version, the user benefit has once again increased significantly: The current generation works significantly faster and even detects palms that are placed in front of the sensor only briefly or with shaky movements. The detection process is already completed with a short movement. Suitable locations for the access terminal are easy to find: even direct sunlight of up to 80,000 lux does not impair the function. Due to its suitability as an access control system for high-security areas, PCS attaches great importance to the safety of all system components: The templates for identification matching are encrypted while still in the sensor and are routed into the protected area via secure lines. Manipulation of the terminal is detected by the sabotage contact. The INTUS 1600PS-II biometric access reader is also ideally suited for high-security applications in the long term, taking into account pandemic prevention.
