This is associated with a technological leap in the innovative palm vein recognition system. The design of the biometric access reader has remained the same, but the technical equipment has been completely renewed and now features a brilliant increase in performance. In the new variant, the camera sensor reacts as soon as a hand approaches and starts identification immediately. The speed of the recognition process is enormously increased, the use of hand vein recognition becomes even easier and more convenient - with the same security level and a false acceptance rate of 0.00008 percent. The INTUS 1600PS-II offers secure access control with a high level of user convenience.
Precise palm vein detection in all environments.
Since the palm vein pattern is individual for each person, this biometric method is particularly suitable for the unambiguous identification of a person. The new sensor of the INTUS 1600PS-II works so fast that a short recording of the palm of the hand is sufficient to carry out a data comparison with the stored pattern template. The access reader has made further progress in outdoor use: the improved technology also allows outdoor use in a weather-protected location - the sensor works reliably even in strong ambient light and sunlight. More memory ensures that companies can use hand vein recognition for up to 1,000 employees for identification without an additional card.
High security through multiple authentication.
For high security requirements, biometrics is combined with multiple authentication: hand vein recognition works both with identification and with verification against a second feature. For strong security requirements, an RFID card or PIN is checked in addition to the hand vein template.
PCS will present the new 1600PS-II model for the first time at the it-sa 2019 trade fair in Nuremberg. You will find PCS at the joint stand "Bayern innovativ" in Hall 9, Stand 402.
