The conova data center hosts the IT of major organizations from Austria and other German-speaking countries. The sectors covered range from public authorities to internationally active car manufacturers with their European IT headquarters for 16 countries.
In 2010, the company opened its "Green Cube" data center in an entirely new building with enough space to accommodate more than 10,000 servers. The redundancy built into all of the "Green Cube’s" facilities effectively prevents any incidents.
Minimization of all safety risks.
Just as IT infrastructure, access control should meet the very highest security standards. Biometric control of access to the server rooms resists any attempt at tampering and makes sure that employees are identified without any doubt.
Highest security combined with excellent usability.
The client specifically requested biometric access control to meet the corporate security standards. Following tests with iris recognition and fingerprint technology, conova opted for INTUS PS palm vein authentication from PCS. The client deployed 2-factor authentication by access token plus palm vein authentication to implement a highly secure system with excellent usability.
- Online access control combined with offline door cylinders.
The access tokens allowed for perfect integration with the security structure. They can be used for the INTUS PS system just as for online access control, offline door cylinders and rack locks, creating an interlinked structure.
