Mair Elektronik produces high-quality products at two locations, partly under clean room conditions. Roland Mair decided to use PCS high-tech access control technology to protect the new building complex for the innovative production facility. The company selected the INTUS PS palm vein authentication system.
The innovative functions of the high-security INTUS PS biometric system also reflect Mair's forward-looking aspirations. Video surveillance is used for additional perimeter protection.
Biometric protection for sensitive production areas.
150 sq. m of the 1,000 sq. m production area were configured as class 1,000 clean room as miniaturization of printed circuit boards is continuing, the distances between pins are decreasing and customer requirements are becoming more and more complex. Mair relies on access control using palm vein authentication to protect the production of these sensitive electronic components.Wireless access control using PegaSys.
Access control for the shopfloor and office areas is based on a wireless solution. INTUS PegaSys offline readers were installed at 16 doors. The door cylinders are an ideal solution whenever a door must be protected while retaining the existing door fitting.Video cameras for perimeter protection.
The company grounds are additionally protected by Convision video cameras. The security system also covers the vehicle access to the premises with an integrated barrier control to regulate incoming traffic.
