From the point of view of a security manager, an elevator is a lock which people must pass to get from one part of a building to another. This fact should be taken into account when planning a building’s security system.
Elevator control often has several objectives. One is to make sure that employees get to their workplace as fast and conveniently as possible. Another is to reliably guide visitors to the floor they are allowed to enter.

Elevator control makes sure that visitors only leave the elevator on the floor they are allowed to enter and that your employees reach their workplace on the fastest route. PCS elevator control is offered for elevators from KONE and other manufacturers. - Identification by RFID or biometrics.
User identification in elevator control can be performed both by RFID and biometrics (fingerprint or palm vein authentication). Once a person is identified, the elevator is cleared to travel to the defined floor or floors. - Authorization defined via access profile.
The KONE destination control system will request the next available elevator via DEXICON during the access control process. The display will then indicate to the employee which elevator best to use to go to the desired floor. This feature allows you to improve elevator utilization. - Edit authorizations flexibly and simply.
Authorization management in DEXICON allows simple and swift editing of admissible floors.

Elevator control combined with access control.
The selection of admissible floors can be set individually. Visitors will only be able to travel to admissible floors. Employees will automatically be guided to the right floor and reliably prevented from exiting on floors they are not authorized to enter.
Even while the employee’s identity is still being checked at the KONE turnstile, the system requests the next available KONE elevator to minimize unnecessary waiting. DEXICON certified by KONE makes sure of that.
