Axis and Hikvision network cameras.
Network cameras offer many advantages for sophisticated surveillance solutions. Integrated into a company's network and the video surveillance software from which all cameras in the company are managed, the images can be accessed from any suitably equipped workstation computer or smartphone.
PCS offers a variety of camera models manufactured by Axis and Hikvision, including 2 megapixel cameras, cameras with up to 8 megapixel resolution, pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) dome cameras as well as specialized models such as thermal imaging and explosion-proof cameras. Cameras equipped with low-light sensors and illumination for poor light conditions complete the portfolio.

Fixed cameras
Fixed cameras clearly and unmistakably indicate by their design that video surveillance is taking place and which area is covered by it.
The camera’s line of sight is immediately apparent from its shape and supports the deterrent effect – potential intruders can see at a glance that the area is under video surveillance.
Fixed dome cameras
This type of camera is protected by a glass dome that prevents deliberate or unintentional twisting or turning of the device or mechanical attack. The design also offers excellent tamper protection.
In its domed housing, the camera is less conspicuous than a normal fixed camera and will not give away which area is under surveillance. Dome cameras are easier to clean as well.
PTZ cameras
PTZ cameras can be remotely controlled from the video management system via the network to pan (P), tilt (T) and zoom (Z). They perfectly complement video surveillance projects where large distances have to be bridged or the camera’s line of sight has to be changed depending on the circumstances.
PTZ cameras can be set to automatically move into certain positions and zoom to a predefined level, relieving the security personnel from laborious manual control.
Special cameras
In addition to the standard cameras listed above, there are various special cameras for different applications including:
- License plate recognition (LPR) cameras for automated vehicle access control.
- Thermal imaging cameras for perfect surveillance in poor visibility or at night.
- Explosion-proof cameras for surveillance in explosive environments.
- Panoramic cameras for a full 360-degree view of a particular area.
