AEO certification
Why is AEO certification useful?
International companies increasingly expect their suppliers to be part of a reliable, end-to-end international supply chain. The aim is to provide security of a product from the manufacturer to the end consumer.
What do you have to do to achieve this?
There are various conditions for certification, such as previous compliance with customs and tax regulations, a satisfactory accounting system, proven solvency and appropriate security standards. To this end, the security systems for the company's freight packaging area are examined.
Why did PCS seek certification?
PCS Systemtechnik has successfully completed the AEO certification process and thus achieved the status of ‘Authorised Economic Operator (AEO)’. PCS thus ensures that:
- air freight goods are packaged under strict security measures and
- can pass through customs procedures more quickly.
AEO certification is an important measure for the secure transport of goods and fast delivery of PCS hardware. With its ‘Authorised Economic Operator’ status, PCS has proven itself to be a reliable and trustworthy business partner.

Richard Wolf GmbH is a medium-sized medical technology company with over 1,500 employees, 14 branches and 130 distributors worldwide. As an export-oriented company, it was essential to obtain ‘AEO’ certification from the German Federal Air Transport Authority.
INTUS RFID readers control access at the turnstiles and access barriers. The new logistics centre is protected by biometrics: the INTUS 1600PS palm vein recognition system checks the identity of employees at a total of 12 doors and gates in the air freight-related areas.
