The use of Google Analytics is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TTDSG (German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act).

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", i.e., text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. As a rule, the information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will usually be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, Google will first truncate your IP address within Member States of the European Union or other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On behalf of the website operator, Google will analyze this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide the website operator with other services relating to website activity and Internet usage.

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. However, please be aware that you may not be able to use this website’s full functionality if you do so. You can also prevent Google from collecting and processing the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available here.

Alternatively, especially if you use our website via a mobile device, you can click on the link below to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data on this website in the future. This places an opt-out cookie on your device that is only valid for this particular device, the browser used and our domain. If you delete all the cookies in your browser, you will have to click on this link again on a subsequent visit.

The specific retention period for the processed data cannot be influenced by us, but is determined by Google Ireland Limited. See Google’s Privacy Policy on Google Analytics for more information: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

10. Google reCAPTCHA

We have integrated Google reCAPTCHA components on our website. Google reCAPTCHA is a service of Google Ireland Limited. It allows us to distinguish whether a contact request originates from a natural person or is automated by means of a program. When you access this content, you establish a connection to servers of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, whereby your IP address and, if applicable, browser data such as your user agent are transmitted. Furthermore, Google reCAPTCHA records the user's dwell time and mouse movements in order to distinguish automated requests from human ones. This data is processed exclusively for the above-mentioned purposes and to maintain the security and functionality of Google reCAPTCHA.

The use of Google reCAPTCHA is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TTDSG (German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act.

The specific retention period for the processed data cannot be influenced by us, but is determined by Google Ireland Limited. See Google’s Privacy Policy on reCAPTCHA for more information: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-US.

12. Use of google AdWords

Our website uses Google AdWords, an online advertising program provided by Google, Inc. Conversion tracking may be used at the same time. By means of this tool Google AdWords places a cookie on your device if you access our website through a Google advertisement. It is not used for personal traceability. Should you visit our website as a user and the cookie is still working, we and Google can both see that you have clicked on the corresponding advertisement and were forwarded to our website. A different cookie is allocated to every Google AdWords customer. This means that cookies cannot be traced via the websites of AdWords customers. Conversion statistics are compiled for AdWords customers with the data collected using conversion cookies. These allow us as a customer to find out the total number of users who have clicked on our ad and who were then forwarded to a website which has a conversion tracking tag. During this process we do not receive any information that we could use to personally identify you as a user. Should you refuse to accept the tracking procedure, the Google conversion tracking cookie can be deactivated via your web browser.

If necessary, use the help function of your browser for further information.

For further details, please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy under http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

13. Use of Google Remarketing

This website may use the Remarketing function of Google, Inc. (“Google”). This function is used to present interest-based advertising to visitors of our website within the framework of Google’s advertising network. The website visitor’s browser stores what are referred to as “cookies”, which are text files that are stored on your computer and enable the visitor to be recognized again when he or she accesses websites that are part of Google’s advertising network. On these websites, the visitor can then be presented with adverts that relate to content that the visitor has previously accessed on websites that use Google's Remarketing function.

According to its own information, Google does not collect any personal data during this process. If you do not wish that Google’s Remarketing function is used, you can deactivate it by making the appropriate settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads.

Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies for interest-based advertising via the Network Advertising Initiative by following the instructions given under http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp. This website uses Google DoubleClick cookies (Floodlights). DoubleClick is a service of Google, Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Cookies are small text files that are stored in a user’s browser. In the process, a pseudonymous identification number (ID) is assigned to your browser. DoubleClick cookies do not contain any personal data.

The cookies are used to analyze the usage of this website. The collected data is analyzed for statistical purposes and in an anonymized form. You can prevent the use of cookies by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link under the DoubleClick deactivation extension item or by deactivating personalized advertising. Alternatively, you can deactivate DoubleClick cookies on the Digital Advertising website by clicking on the following link.

The cookies are only used to advertise products of this website operator following the user's consent based on Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR (retargeting). 18. Application process via Personio

Personal data in the application process

Personal data is information about the personal or factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your name, your address, your telephone number and your date of birth, but also data which can be traced back to a specific person with reasonable effort, such as data about your specific career. In contrast, information that is not directly or indirectly associated with your real identity is not personal data.

Principles and purposes of processing personal data for applications and in the application process

If you apply to us electronically, i.e., by e-mail or via our web form, we will collect and process your personal data for the purpose of handling the application process and implementing pre-contractual measures.

By submitting an application on our recruiting page, you express your interest in taking up employment with us. In this context, you provide us with personal data which we use and store exclusively for the purpose of your job search/application.

In particular, the following data is collected:

  • Name (first name and surname)
  • E-mail address
  • Telephone number
  • LinkedIn profile (optional)
  • How you became aware of us

You also have the option of uploading informative documents such as a cover letter, your CV, certificates and references. These may contain further personal data such as date of birth, address etc.

Only authorized employees from the HR department or employees involved in the application process will have access to your data.

Personal data is stored exclusively for the purpose of filling the vacant position for which you have applied.

Your data will be stored for a period of 180 days after the end of the application process. This is usually done to fulfil legal obligations or to defend against any claims arising from statutory provisions (General Equal Treatment Act). When this period has elapsed, we are obliged to delete or anonymize your data. Anonymized data is only available to us as metadata without direct personal reference for statistical analyses (e.g. proportion of women or men in applications, number of applications per period, etc.).

Given your renewed written consent, we also reserve the right to store your data for inclusion in our "Talent Pool" for 365 days after the end of the application process so that we can identify any other interesting positions for you. We may also do this if you have applied for an apprenticeship or internship, for example.

If you receive an offer of employment with us during the application process and accept it, we will store the personal data collected during the application process for at least the duration of the employment relationship.

Transfer of data to third parties

The data transmitted as part of your application will be transferred using TLS encryption and stored in a database.
