Access control with fingerprint - it is impossible to pass on the access card
Secure access control through fingerprint technology
The INTUS 800FP combines modern access control with reliable fingerprint technology. The fingerprint is captured contactlessly and compared biometrically with the reference data stored in the device. In this way, access authorisation can be determined unambiguously and forgery-proof - for maximum security combined with a high level of user convenience.
Thanks to its compact design, the INTUS 800FP fingerprint reader is ideal for unobtrusive use in sensitive areas such as public authorities, data centres or medical facilities. It is robustly built, tamper-proof and supports multi-factor authentication with card or PIN for added security. The integrated keypad with acoustic feedback ensures easy operation.

The multiple authentication options allow flexible adaptation to different security requirements. Main function: Fingerprint recognition, with verification / identification. Alternative methods: PIN entry via keypad or RFID card reading.

The following two methods are possible for access control with biometrics:
Verification (1 : 1)
Here, the biometric feature - for example the fingerprint - is used to confirm an already known identity, for example in combination with an RFID card or a PIN. This two-factor authentication offers a high level of security, which is particularly important in high-security areas. PCS recommends this approach wherever maximum security and unambiguous access control are required.
Identification (1 : N)
In this case, the biometric feature is used as the sole identifier - e.g. with the fingerprint access reader. This method is particularly user-friendly and convenient as no card or PIN is required and the finger cannot be forgotten. This method is ideal for smaller access control systems. However, some people may have reservations about the storage of biometric data. One solution here is the combination of card and biometrics, in which the biometric information is only stored locally on the personal card in a highly encrypted form.
