Convenient vehicle access control.
DEXICON vehicle access control is a DEXICON add-on module to automatically manage the opening of barriers for incoming cars or trucks. There are two ways to identify the vehicle:
- reading the license plate by a camera plus license plate recognition software or
- reading RFID tags attached to, or inside of, the vehicle by long-range reader.
All vehicle movements are stored to a vehicle database. This always gives you full transparency on the vehicles present on your premises now or at any given point in time before.
- By license plate recognition or RFID tags.
- Optionally combined with the driver’s access badge.
- Vehicle database containing key vehicle attributes.
- Vehicle access profiles for time-based access rules.
Video or RFID
License plate recognition is based on cameras capturing the vehicle registration and software evaluating the result. PCS uses Qognify license plate recognition software. This technology is particularly interesting for enterprises frequently visited by suppliers that often change vehicles.
To identify vehicles by RFID tag, long-range readers with a reading distance of up to 8 meters are used.
Once the vehicle is identified by license plate recognition or RFID tag, the barrier or gate will open.
Database creates transparency
Vehicles can be registered in DEXICON based on manufacturer and model data easily selectable from an integrated and expandable vehicle database. This master record is supplemented by the vehicle category and color to ensure that each vehicle is quickly found.
Registering the usage type for a vehicle (company, pool or private) and allocating drivers further increases the transparency of the system.
